The route to the 2027 Bassmaster Elite Series will require competitors to handle two different electronics environments. Bassmaster's September 16 report says the 2026 Elite Qualifiers at Norfork Lake and Lake Guntersville will prohibit forward-facing sonar, while the Toledo Bend stop will allow it.
Ten of the 130 anglers on the reported roster will advance. That leaves little room to treat either style of event as expendable: the qualifying series includes both, and success must hold up across the schedule.
